Ivan Perisic has refused to answer questions over his future at Inter Milan amid interest from Manchester United this summer.
Jose Mourinho was hoping to sign Perisic on a cheap as Inter needed to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, however, after raising the funds through smaller deals, they have been trying everything they can to keep hold of their star asset.
The Serie A club value him at around £50m and are only willing to negotiate if Anthony Martial is included in the deal, which is completely off the table for Man United.
When asked about his future by Premium Sport at a restaurant, Perisic refused to give anything away.
Perisic simply said: “I am here to eat,” while Jovetic deflected the questions: “I cannot speak.” Both were with their agent Fali Ramadani, who was supposedly in Manchester yesterday.
A deal will be hard to wrap up now as Inter are also looking to offer him a bumper new contract to keep him tied down ahead of the new season.
Mourinho has already discussed the situation, claiming he could be forced into only accepting three new players this summer rather than the four he was hoping for due to the current market.
