Paul Pogba has opened up about his relationship with Manchester United’s new signings ahead of the new Premier League season.
Man United signed Victor Lindelof from Benfica, Romelu Lukaku from Everton and Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, and could pick up another player before the end of the window.
Speaking about his new team-mates, Pogba insists everyone has settled in well at Old Trafford.
“He’s [Lukaku] had a good pre-season. Scoring goals, that’s what we were expecting. [Nemanja] Matic, you can see he’s been working hard,” Pogba said.
“He’s settled in the team like he was there for the whole of pre-season. We’re happy. Victor [Lindelof], too, you can see his quality straight away. We have a very good group.
“We [Lukaku and Pogba] talked about it last season, wondering if one day we would play together and it’s happened this season so I’m very happy. We all are. We have a good relationship.”
They’ve all been brilliant so far but the work starts now as Jose Mourinho looks to turn United into challengers for the Premier League and Champions League.
He’s filled gaps in the side with his new signings and even if he can’t land his final signing, it’s clear the side is looking much stronger from last season.
