Andreas Pereira is set to stay at Manchester United this season as Jose Mourinho has blocked any potential loan move, according to reports.

Plaza Deportiva claims Valencia have given up on trying to sign Pereira as it has been made clear he will be a part of the first-team plans this season.

Reports earlier in the week insisted a deal was confirmed, however, he seems set on staying at Old Trafford unless the Portuguese boss changes his mind in the closing hours of deadline day.

He impressed on loan last season with Granada, showcasing he has what it takes to perform in La Liga, which is why Valencia were interested in taking him on a season-long loan, but Mourinho is not keen on him having another extended stay as United look to challenge in the Premier League and Champions League.

Although he hasn’t featured this season, hopes are now that his future has been sorted, he’ll be able to get back to focusing on what’s important at Old Trafford.

He had been impressive during the pre-season but will be hoping to slot back into the first-team and finally start making his mark in a United shirt.
