Manchester United could still complete the signing of Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan on transfer deadline day, according to reports.
He’s been a vital player at Inter and he looked set to make the move to Old Trafford before the Italian club rejected at least two offers from Ed Woodward.
Mourinho had his targets and although he hasn’t got all of them, the team still looks incredibly solid moving forward as Martial proves Mourinho doesn’t need the addition of a new wide man.
United’s last offer for Perisic was £35m with Inter seemingly holding out for £40m and it’s odd to see United holding out for £5m in a deal which could have taken the side forward this season.
It means Mourinho did not want a deal that much to go through and pay extra or United were unwilling to meet the valuation for a player who has never played in the Premier League and at 28, probably doesn’t have long left as a winger if he makes the move to Old Trafford.
