Manchester United have rejected a number of loan proposals for striker James Wilson – report

Manchester United have rejected a number of loan proposals for striker James Wilson, according to the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old was on loan at Derby County last season and endured a cruciate ligament injury but has been training, with United wanting to keep an eye on his recovery until January.

Wilson was a surprise starter for United’s Under 23s against Tottenham last week and played his first minutes since picking up an injury last October.

He was on the pitch for a total of 77 minutes and will look to return to the fold as the United XI lost 3-0.

Wilson scored twice on his first-team debut and was backed for a big career, however, he’s had little luck since then and a loan move to Brighton in 2015-16 was met with illness and injury, as he did not score as many as he would have liked.

United have already let youngster Matty Willock go out on loan but Wilson is different, as a player who has shown so much potential in the first-team and hopes are he’s able to re-find his best form and continue to work on his rehabilitation at Carringoton.
