David de Gea has addressed his future at Manchester United, claiming he’s feeling confident after the side’s impressive start to the new season.
Since losing the UEFA Super Cup to Real Madrid in August Man United have gone on to win eight games and draw one across all competitions.
Man United have also changed their goal-scoring problems since last campaign and have looked like a new side with the ability to put rivals to the sword.
Speaking before the clash against Crystal Palace, De Gea insists the confidence has helped the squad perform.
“It’s just the beginning, we have had great games,” he said.
“We’ve created a lot of chances, scored goals, and we need to keep that level.
“The team is now with a lot of confidence and it is easy when you take confidence to the pitch. We have to keep winning, playing well and scoring goals.
“I feel really well, I feel confident, strong
“I train hard every day and it’s good to hear from the people that I’m one of the best.”
He’s been continuously linked with a move to Real Madrid since his move fell through but it looks like he’s set on the job at United.
Mourinho’s side have scored four goals in six of their victories this season and are looking like a brilliant unit moving forward.
De Gea, who has only conceded two goals in six league games this season, will be targeting another clean sheet with United at home to Crystal Palace – a side yet to score – on Saturday.
