Manchester United have been in supreme form so far this season. Jose Mourinho’s men are currently joint-top of the Premier League table, having won six of their seven league games so far this season.
With upcoming fixtures against Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur fast approaching, the 20-time English champions will be desperate to continue that momentum after the international break.
In wider areas, Rashford and Martial will give United pace and directness up front – something that they have been lacking in recent years. Neither is a conventional winger but both have started the season strongly and it wouldn’t be a huge surprise to see United succeed if Rashford and Martial maintain their rich vein of form.
Marcus Rashford believes his duel with Martial is good for everyone at Manchester United.
With six goals in his last ten outings, 19-year-old Rashford is currently United’s main threat on the left, whilst his teammate has been deadly off the substitute’s bench.
By the end of the campaign, Martial may have surpassed Rashford as Mourinho’s favourite attacking option on the flank. The France international has been superb as a “finisher” this campaign; Mourinho has opted to bring Martial on to close out matches.
When he has been given the start, Martial has done his best to challenge Rashford’s spot in the starting XI – the United winger has five Premier League goals already this campaign, just three shy of his tally for the entire 2016/17 campaign.
And at the forefront of their flourishing attack is Romelu Lukaku. United signed the Belgium striker from top-flight rivals Everton for an estimated £75 million earlier this summer and he has been an instant revelation at Old Trafford.
According to WhoScored, Lukaku has scored ten goals in nine competitive appearances for United and he will be confident of challenging the likes of Harry Kane and Alexandre Lacazette for the Golden Boot award in the coming months.

Like Lukaku, Lacazette has also hit the ground running. An Oddschecker preview for a recent Arsenal clash with Brighton tipped the Frenchman to score; and he did just that, as the north London side ran out 2-0 winners.
The Gunners striker has now scored in his first three home league games and he will push Lukaku close if he can maintain that form throughout the campaign. Lukaku is a worthy second-favourite to Kane at 7/2, though, and United fans will be keen to back the Belgian in the near future.
Let’s not forget Zlatan Ibrahimović, either. Adored by the fans during his brief Old Trafford tenure last season, the Sweden legend suffered a season-ending injury but he is back to fire United to the Premier League title.
When he signed for the Red Devils, Zlatan revealed that he wanted to lead Mourinho’s men back to the summit of English football – and United will be confident of doing just that if Lukaku and Ibrahimović are both firing on all cylinders.
Lacazette can carry Arsenal to an extent but they won’t be able to compete with United in the long term. The Premier League title is heading to Manchester this season and, with a bit of luck, Lukaku, Martial and Rashford can swing the pendulum in United’s favour.
