Manchester United target and Roma star Lorenzo Pellegrini is reportedly available for a relatively cheap price should Jose Mourinho’s side wish to invest in him.
The Roma midfielder has been on United’s radar for some time now but it’s only been recently revealed that he can be bought for cheaper than expected.
Pellegrini fits into the club’s transfer aims as Mourinho bids to sort out his midfield issues before they get out of hand.
Carrick and Fellaini’s contracts run out in the summer whilst McTominay is a youngster and Herrera has failed to impress this season, paving the way to a new addition in the engine room.
According to the Mirror, Lorenzo has a buy-out clause of just £21m which makes him pretty much a bargain buy considering today’s market.
With recent reports suggesting that Marouane has decided to leave Manchester United, the club could find themselves at the start of next season with just two senior midfielders.
Jose has certainly been made aware of the situation and is perhaps attempting to fill in the gaps now in the winter transfer window.
There is also a possibility that he hopes Andreas Pereira, currently on loan at Valencia, will return next season ready for first team football.
Either way, Lorenzo Pellegrini represents the ideal midfield signing- cheap, bags of potential and is likely happy to play back-up to first choice players Pogba and Matic.
