Manchester United are reportedly leading the way to sign Bayern Munich star Robert Lewandowski, edging ahead of the rest of the pack that includes the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The Poland international has always been in high demand due to his strike rate and of course incredible talent on the big stage.
One of the best strikers around, it’s no surprise to see his name linked with the top clubs around Europe as he appears to be on the lookout for his next club.
Lewandowski would certainly add quality to any club’s frontline but United fans are delighted to hear that they’re also chasing his signature.
The 29 year old appeared set to remain at Bayern for the rest of his career but recent rumours have hinted at a possible move.
According to the Bleacher Report, Kicker report that the Red Devils have ‘made moves’ towards securing a transfer for Robert.
Jose Mourinho’s interest in the hitman, if true, is a little unusual given how he just signed Romelu Lukaku during the last summer.
The Belgian hasn’t proved to be a failed signing either which just adds more confusion to Manchester United apparently making a serious move for another striker.
The only explanation would be if Mourinho is considering moving to a two striker formation which would then make some room for Robert Lewandowski.
