Nemanja Matic put in a stellar performance for Manchester United, leading them to the FA Cup semi-finals with a goal and assist against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Having scored his first goal of the club just a couple of weeks ago, Matic doubled that tally on Saturday evening at Old Trafford in a professional display from the Reds after a turbulent week.
Jose Mourinho’s side crashed out of the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday to La Liga side Sevilla in a woeful performance that earned the side and management great criticism.
But Matic was named Man of the Match for his fantastic display against Brighton.

Making more dribbles and passes than anyone else on the night, Matic impressed United fans.
Matic is in his best form for some time at United. After a blistering start to the season, the Serb’s performances dipped slightly around the festive period, presumably due to fatigue.
However, he’s back to his best now, and is earning the praise of manager Mourinho as well as United’s support.
On Friday, after being asked about players underperforming, Mourinho instead preferred to pick out those who have performed this season, and named Matic.
“I prefer to say that Matic and Lukaku are performing at a high level since day one until the last match,” Mourinho asserted. “I cannot tell you the ones that are not performing.”
