Manchester United fans were not happy with Alexis Sanchez’s performance in the 1-0 loss to West Brom at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The dropped points were certainly disappointing but it was made worse by the fact that it meant Manchester City were crowned champions.

United did incredibly well to deny them the title last week by beating them at the Etihad but were undone themselves by a stubborn Baggies side.

Sanchez started the match and couldn’t make the difference, though many of his teammates were also poor on and off the ball.

The Chilean was just starting to string together some fine performances but couldn’t come up with the goods once again to save his side.

Martial compliments Pogba on left, Sanchez creates traffic jam on the left

All very congested for United when they go forward. Mata and Sanchez both wanting to drift inside. Pogba, Herrera and Lukaku already there. Tripping over themselves at the moment.

Sanchez has been abysmal. He's probably had 90 decent minutes in total since he joined

Sanchez is an even worse footballer now than he was at arsenal

What has Sanchez brought to the table at United?

Mourinho will know where our weakness is. Its the gap between Tripper and Sanchez. Always seem weaker that side. Thats what worries me. Mourinho knows how to win these big cup games.

Alexis was certainly not the only player at fault for the result but his display was amongst the most high profile with Paul Pogba also failing to impress.

Jose Mourinho spoke about his players after the match and claimed that his players were complicating things more than they had to.

Alexis Sanchez is typically a risk taking player he definitely tried too hard at times and failed to keep things simple when necessary as his manager said.

The former Arsenal man poses a huge problem for Mourinho to solve as he constantly gets in the way of Pogba when the pair play alongside each other.

The Portuguese boss even tried to solve this problem by sticking the former Juventus man on the right but it couldn’t help the team grab even a single point.
