Manchester United fans were certainly pleased with Eric Bailly’s performance vs Watford in the final match of the Premier League season.
The Ivorian started the fixture and impressed immediately though he did show signs of rustiness due to his lack of match time.
Bailly’s struggled with injuries this season in a campaign that he must feel disappointed about despite Jose Mourinho selecting him whenever he’s available.
The centre-back was brought into the club last season in the hopes that he could quickly slot into the starting XI and lead the club to glory.
However, despite showing obvious quality, he’s failed to put together a run of games that would prove he is a reliable option for United.
Eric Bailly having the type of game that suggests he probably should start the FA Cup final.

Always a joy to watch Bailly defend. Surprising how he's benched by far inferior defenders inspite of being fit.

Halfway through the first-half and Eric Bailly has been United's standout player by a distance. Rashford struggling in the No.9 role again but one of the more energetic attackers. #mufc

Supporters certainly hope Eric starts the FA Cup final clash against Chelsea at Wembley as he’s perhaps the club’s best defender.
The former Villareal man can hopefully put behind him this start stop season and look forward to putting together a more solid, injury free campaign next year.
Victor Lindelof was brought in to play alongside the Eric Bailly and although they were brought into the club with one eye on the future, the hope is that the pair can prove their quality now.
