Manchester United supporters have largely welcomed the prospect of Zinedine Zidane replacing Jose Mourinho after the Frenchman announced on Thursday he would leave Real Madrid.
The former midfielder announced at a surprise press conference that he would leave the Bernabeu after claiming his third Champions League title just five days ago.
Where he will go from here remains a mystery. The France job, currently held by Didier Deschamps, has already been mentioned as a potential role for Zidane.
And United fans, when asked whether they’d be happy with Zidane replacing Mourinho tomorrow, were majorly in favour of seeing the him in the Old Trafford dugout.
In a blink of an eye 💪🏻

Zidane is a manager whose lack of a particular playing style aligns quite closely with Mourinho. He is not a man of meticulous tactics or long, details speeches, basing his approach instead on fine tuning and giving players the platform to show their individual talent.
His strength lies in communication, in dealing with people and managing a group. He brings calm, authority, an intangibly infectious aura which borders on regal. Mourinho mainly brings paranoia.
But so much of his success at the Berbabeu came through a certain pedigree. He had a spine of Toni Kroos, Sergio Ramos, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Dani Carvahal and Marcelo, and was able to call on Gareth Bale or Isco from the bench. The task at United would be a different one altogether.
