Manchester United have announced the signing of Diogo Dalot from FC Porto on a five-year contract, with the option to extend for a further year.
Dalot, 19, becomes the second signing by Jose Mourinho’s side in the last 24 hours after Fred was announced on Tuesday.
With a need for a new right-back, the arrival of Dalot has been welcomed by Man United fans in order to improve their options in that position alongside Antonio Valencia.

It’s great to see United moving quickly in the transfer market to secure two signings before the 2018 World Cup. Fred brings some much added tenacity and a new dynamic to a midfield which lacked tempo so often last season, while Dalot gives United a real option in both full-back positions.
With the World Cup starting on 14 June, United will have to wait until our pre-season tour to see Dalot in action but at the start of what will no doubt be a busy summer for all clubs, United have made a confident start.
Welcome to United, Diogo!
