Manchester United to offer Marcus Rashford a pay raise: report

Manchester United are reportedly going to try to tie Marcus Rashford down to a new contract by tempting him with a pay raise.

The Englishman is highly rated by Jose Mourinho who wants to see him succeed at the club he was raised in.

Rashford has been heavily linked with other Premier League sides such as Chelsea and Arsenal with even Everton and Newcastle wanting him on loan.

United fans were never really concerned by the rumours but giving the academy product a few extra years on his contract will certainly be a relief.

Some sections of the media reported that Mourinho’s relationship with the striker soured following Alexis Sanchez’s arrival.

According to the Hard Tackle, the Sun report that the Red Devils want to offer Marcus a contract renewal once he’s back from the World Cup which will see him get a significant pay rise going from £80k a week to £130k a week.

Whether it’s deserved money or not is something to debate about but supporters will just be happy to see him remain at the club.

Rashford’s said to be keen on chasing his dream to become a Manchester United legend and so reports claiming he wants to leave look a little silly now.
