Manchester United are reportedly ready to splash the cash on PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, making him their superstar signing of the summer.
Ed Woodward is known for his desire to make at least one marquee signing a season with Paul Pogba joining in Jose Mourinho’s first season in charge and Alexis Sanchez in January.
Mbappe would certainly not be cheap as he’s widely regarded to be one of Europe’s top youngsters at the moment and has only just joined the Ligue 1 side.
Mourinho publicly stated his desire to focus on midfielders and defenders this summer but one key factor could see the move happen.
The Frenchman would add obvious quality to United’s attack though where he would fit in is perhaps the question that springs to mind.
According to Calcio Insider, Don Balon report that the Red Devils want Kylian to be a part of a trio with Alexis Sanchez and Romelu Lukaku and are hoping to take advantage of PSG’s rumoured financial trouble.
The move is definitely an ambitious one and perhaps Jose is better off spending that money elsewhere in more appropriate areas.
Manchester United have yet to sign a top quality centre-back as of yet and it’s meant to be the most urgent area.
