Manchester United fans will be frustrated to hear that Real Madrid star Gareth Bale is reportedly happy to stay with the current Champions League winners.
The Welshman, who actually scored the brace that helped his side win Europe’s elite competition, sparked rumours of his own future by claiming he needs to be playing week in and week out.
That obviously wasn’t happening for him at Madrid and so people understood it to mean he wished to leave thus reigniting the links to United.
Bale was seen on live television being told off by Jose Mourinho for not speaking out on his desire to leave Spain in order to make it easier to negotiate a transfer.
The versatile winger, despite Alexis Sanchez’s signing, is still reported to be a target for the Portuguese manager but it appears that a deal is once more unrealistic.

It makes sense that Gareth would prefer to remain with a team in it’s prime and just won several Champions League trophies than a team that’s struggling with transition.
The former Tottenham man could certainly still get the minutes he wants under the new manager but he will have to fight his teammates for a spot such as Isco.
