Jose Mourinho is turning his attention towards signing a young box-to-box midfielder this summer following the acquisition of Fred.
The Brazilian was officially announced as a Manchester United player on Thursday and will slot in alongside Paul Pogba in an attempt to bring Mourinho’s team up the pitch more efficiently than last season.
But Mourinho clearly feels the need to add more energy to his midfield on the side, with Lyon’s Tanguy Ndombele emerging as the latest name to be mentioned.
We put it to you, the supporters, which player they think best fits this profile and here were a few of the responses.

Ndombele would be a good addition. Loftus-Cheek could be a cheaper option too.

A number of people have warmed to the prospect of Ndombele joining the midfield: just 21, full of energy, physically imposing, good with his feet and, as he showed with a smooth transition from Amiens to Lyon, capable of stepping up to the next level.
Bayern Munich’s Thiago Alacantara, who wants to leave the Allianz Arena this summer, remains on the radar of supporters years after the club’s unsuccessful bid to sign him.
Other responses ranged from Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Ruben Neves, Crystal Palace’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Leicester City’s Wilfried Ndidi and… Nick Powell.
