Matteo Darmian‘s move to Juventus is reportedly in jeopardy after the latest news has come to light despite Manchester United’s willingness to move him on.
Jose Mourinho has clearly lost faith in the Italian as he invested in Porto’s Diogo Dalot to provide cover for first choice right back Antonio Valencia.
The Ecuadorian is in the latter stages of his career and is expected to soon decline, needing an heir to take over the reigns once he’s done.
Darmian had the opportunity to do so but has failed to impress since coming to Old Trafford and so Dalot was brought in to hopefully do a better job.
The Italian giant’s were said to be interested in the former Torino man and talks were held between both clubs but it appears there’s been a breakdown in negotiations.
According to Sports Mole, the Mirror report that Matteo is now unlikely to move to Juventus as they’ve moved on to search for cheaper alternatives.
United were said to not want to lower their asking price no matter what and the Serie A champions are not interested in meeting their reported £20m price-tag.
Darmian must be moved on for the sake of his career as he will not have a place in Mourinho’s squad next season and risks being frozen out.
