According to reports Jose Mourinho is considering Roma’s Lorenzo Pellegrini as an alternative target to Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.
The Portuguese manager has already concluded deals for Porto’s Diogo Dalot and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Fred but he’s still said to be chasing another midfielder.
The Brazilian’s addition to Manchester United’s squad was meant to be the only addition when it comes to the engine room but it’s rumoured that there’s a need for another signing as Marouane Fellaini is likely to leave.
The Belgian’s contract runs out in less than a week’s time with no end in sight in regards to the ongoing negotiations on a renewal and so there’s a need to bring someone in.
United are rumoured to have been put off by the huge price tag put on Milinkovic-Savic’s head and so have turned their attention towards Pellegrini.
According to 101 Great Goals, Manchester Evening News report that Jose is considering Lorenzo to Sergej as he would be the cheaper option and the better alternative as a young box to box midfielder.
With Fred expected to line up alongside Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba it makes sense to bring in a player who isn’t expected to be a regular starter.
