Manchester United target and Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin can potentially be signed for just €20m according to recent reports which is considered cheap in today’s market.
The Uruguayan is widely considered to be amongst the best centre-backs in the world and so rumours linking Jose Mourinho with a move for him is no real surprise.
The Portuguese manager is said to be on the prowl for an experienced, top centre-back to bring in to the club and that’s certainly what Godin is.
The downside to the deal is that he’s 32 years old though of course as aforementioned, the fee isn’t expensive by any means of the word.
However, whether there’s any truth to the rumours or not are yet to be seen and the talented defender good just be angling for a new deal with his club.
According to 101 Great Goals, Diego could be signed by the Red Devils for just €20m due to his release clause though they’ll have to fight Juventus for his signature.
There’s obviously the matter that Mourinho currently has five senior centre-backs that he hasn’t sold just yet to make room for anyone else.
