Chelsea star Willian is reportedly set to snub Manchester United in favour of a move to Barcelona in which will surely be considered a blow to Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese manager was said to be keen on reuniting with his former player as he felt the need to improve the squad’s right wing options.
The Brazilian is currently at the World Cup and despite a move probably not happening until the competition is over, it seems he’s already made his mind up.
The Spanish giants were rumoured to be interested in him but abstained from making a move due to being overstocked in the position he would play in.
However, it seems the former Shakhtar Donetsk man is either not too concerned about the matter or the aforementioned report is false.
According to Manchester Evening News, Mundo Deportivo report that Willian will turn down the Red Devils in order to have a chance of playing alongside Barcelona’s Lionel Messi.
Mourinho would do better in investing in positions that need serious attention rather than focussing on an already pretty solid attacking unit.
United’s defence and midfield still needs some work despite the additions of Fred and Diogo Dalot who will both need time to adjust.
