Ro-Shaun Williams: I want to show everyone just what I can do

Manchester United youngster Ro-Shaun Williams is passionate about showing everyone just what he can do after recovering from an unfortunate injury.

The defender is highly rated by those at Old Trafford and could potentially make a push for the first team if he continues his development.

Fans may get an opportunity to get a glimpse of Williams’ ability should he be selected to go on tour with the rest of the United squad.

Jose Mourinho has opted to once again have the club’s pre-season in the United States of America and since this was a World Cup summer, will take a few more youngsters than usual.

The Red Devils’ stars who featured in the international tournament will deservedly get some rest before catching up with the rest of the squad.

According to Manchester Evening News, Ro-Shaun said: “Personally, I think I’ve not had the best of seasons. Last year, I was out with an injury, so it was about staying fit but I’m getting on now and it’s a big time for me.

“I’ve got to really push to get towards the first team or get the best career I can. I felt like I was getting into form and have got to continue that into next season and hopefully be right at it, showing everyone what I can do, what I have and how I can progress.

“If I work hard and do what I can, I can go anywhere I want to. I’m feeling better now and definitely past all my injuries. I feel I’ve become one of the leaders in the group and just want to carry that on.”

Manchester United have too many centre-backs in the squad at the moment and it’s a little bit of a surprise that none have been moved on.

Marcos Rojo, Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof are all competing for just two senior spots in the starting XI.

Not to mention other highly rated youngsters such as Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Axel Tuanzebe have returned from their respective loans making the path to the first team difficult for Williams.
