Manchester United are set to begin their pre-season preparations, with some of the squad expected to be present at the Aon Training Complex on Monday.
With the 2018 World Cup currently taking place in Russia, in which Man United had 12 representatives, a large chunk of Jose Mourinho’s squad will not be present until the pre-season tour of the United States.
Mourinho himself won’t be at the Carrington until the tournament’s conclusion either as he continues to act as a pundit, but will return along with more first team stars in the coming weeks.
David de Gea is on holiday after a disastrous World Cup campaign with Spain, however, back-up goalkeeper Sergio Romero will be joined by new signing Lee Grant and young stoppers Joel Pereira and Kieran O’Hara on the first day.
The majority of first team stars will be on holiday for the next week or so though, including new midfielder Fred, but are all expected to be present at some point of the pre-season tour Stateside.
Goalkeepers: Romero, Grant, J. Pereira, O’Hara.
Defenders: Valencia, Dalot, Fosu-Mensah, Darmian, Bailly, Smalling, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Blind, Mitchell.
Midfielders: Garner, Herrera, McTominay, Gomes, Mata, A. Pereira.
Forwards: Sanchez, Martial, Chong.
