Manchester United star Matteo Darmian has reportedly stepped up his efforts to leave the club with his agent said to have met with Juventus.
The negotiations between the Italian side and the former Torino man have been going on for quite some time due to a failure in reaching an agreement.
Darmian is certainly eager to join the Serie A giants and the club are definitely interested in him, however the disagreement is with United’s valuation of him.
The Italian has failed to impress Jose Mourinho in his two seasons at the club and it’s clear the time has come for him to move on.
The Portuguese has already brought in former Porto man Diogo Dalot to address the full-back areas so even if Matteo were to remain, he’d get even less game time.
Juventus met with Matteo Darmian’s agent in Milan today. United are still holding out for €20m. Juve are prepared to pay €12-13m. #mufc [Calciomercato]

Whether it’s Mourinho or Ed Woodward, someone at Manchester United are negotiating deals in a difficult manner, risking losing transfers entirely.
Though no one likes to see their club being taken advantage of, United are also said to have done the same kind of thing with Ajax and Daley Blind.
In terms of potential incomings, it was claimed the likes of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Gareth Bale weren’t properly pursued due to the inability to splash the cash.
