Manchester United fans were absolutely delighted following Paul Pogba’s man of the match performance for France vs Croatia in the World Cup final.

The former Juventus man is officially a World Cup winner, leading his nation to a convincing 4-2 win over the underdogs and getting on the scoresheet himself.

Pogba almost singlehandedly led his nation to international football’s biggest trophy after having an incredible tournament this summer.

Many questioned the Frenchman’s ability to perform following his inconsistencies for United in the second half of the Premier League season.

However, Paul proved his quality in the end and certainly silenced many of his critics with there being no doubt Jose Mourinho will be excited to have him back at Old Trafford.

From sharing a single bed with his siblings due to poverty, to graduating from Man Utd's academy & leaving the club due to lack of playing time, to mourning the unfortunate loss of his father, to winning the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Paul Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the World and his only 25 years of age. I don’t care what any club offer for him. £150m? £200m? £250m? Don’t care. He is unsellable.

Pogba bossed the midfield in a World Cup final with Modric & Rakitic in the opposition.

He held down the fort & put in a class all-round performance while Kante had a poor game. Brilliant vision going forward & a stalwart when defending.

Iconic performance. Iconic photo ❤️ pic.twitter.com/oFHZtzEew7

Hope this World Cup has shown that there is no difficulties regarding Paul Pogba. Nothing about his positioning, nothing about his haircuts, nothing about his temperament or mentality. Let him play his game and he’ll show his pure talent to the world. Take note, Mourinho.

With the upcoming season arguably being Mourinho’s most important one, Pogba will need to continue the form he’s shown on the grandest of stages.

There’s plenty of pressure on the Portuguese manager to deliver the Premier League trophy in his third season in charge of the Red Devils.

It could also be argued that it’s an important season for Paul, given how he still needs to prove himself for his club and drag them to the trophy they’ve craved since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
