Manchester United’s youngsters have been putting in the hard yards under Jose Mourinho’s watch at the UCLA campus in Los Angeles this week.
The likes of Axel Tuanzebe, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, Andreas Pereira and Scott McTominay are all part of the squad as well as they look to make an impact on Mourinho with so many first team players absent due to the World Cup.
Here are a couple of photo galleries showing the younger generation working hard in the Californian sun.
Man United take on Club America on Thursday night (03:00 on Friday in the UK) and San Jose Earthquakes just over 48 hours later, giving Mourinho a chance to hand all of his touring squad some minutes as he looks to ease players back into full swing.
Therein lies a fantastic opportunity for these youngsters: a pressure free environment and limited – although far from average – opposition, with a litany of places up for grabs. Somebody, just like McTominay last summer, could write their name into Mourinho’s first team.
