Pogba played virtually every minute of France’s triumphant World Cup campaign, whereas Young and Fellaini both went to the semi-finals with England and Belgium respectively.
Speaking after a dour performance at the Allianz Arena, Mourinho confirmed the trio would return to training on Monday for the first time since the World Cup.
Mourinho, upon returning to Carrington on Tuesday, will finally have a full compliment after over three weeks of having to juggle limited options throughout pre-season preparations.
To have the likes of Young, Pogba, Lingard, Lindelof and Lukaku back in the mix finally affords him the chance to properly work on the side’s tactical strategy during the first few weeks of the season.
What he can put out on the pitch, however, will remain severely limited. Out of his first team players, only Ander Herrera, Alexis Sanchez, Eric Bailly, Luke Shaw, David de Gea, Juan Mata and Matteo Darmian can be considered fully fit. The rest will need at least two more weeks to get fully back up to speed.
