<—Article Start—>Graeme Souness has never been shy to publicise his opinion on Manchester United which has made him very unpopular amongst the fan base, and he’s been talking again, this time on Jose Mourinho.

TV pundits like Souness and the British media are seemingly building up for another ‘third-season syndrome’ meltdown which will lead to Mourinho losing his job as Man United manager, but he has taken an interesting turn by refusing to feed journalists stories in his press conferences.

Mourinho was unhappy when the season started because the board failed to sign a new central defender this summer and there has reports of further disagreements between him and chief executive Ed Woodward over the players they both want at the club.

Speaking on Sky Sports ahead of Man United’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night, Souness drew comparisons with Mourinho’s Chelsea successor Antonio Conte over his behaviour.

“Jose Mourinho has fallen out with Manchester United’s directors for the same reasons Conte did at Chelsea — not getting the players he wanted — and it is not a happy camp at Old Trafford.

“They are both big managers who are used to getting their own way.”

There has been no indication whatsoever that Mourinho is set to lose his job this season but there’s still a long way to go.<—Article End—>
