Alexis Sanchez has been pictured in good sprits as he returned to Manchester United training this morning.
The Chilean produced his best performance of the season in the 2-0 win over Burnley, supplying a wonderful assist for Romelu Lukaku.
He missed out on the starting XI against Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur due to an injury, which is why he did not link up with Chile over the international break.
Sanchez, who would have no doubt been working extremely hard in the gym over the last week, has returned to training at Man United with a smile on his face.
That Sanchez did not spend countless hours on a plane to play meaningless friendlies against overly keen South American defenders is a major boost for Mourinho ahead of the trip to Vicarage Road.
The 29-year-old looked to be in tune with his United teammates at Turf Moor, especially Jesse Lingard and Romelu Lukaku.
Luke Shaw‘s ability to stretch the left hand side gave Alexis greater room to find teammates and make runs up the pitch, giving an entirely new dimension to United’s play. There was a different feel to his performance compared to usual: full of purpose, energetic at all the right times, compact and potent at both ends of the pitch.
He will be expected to keep it going against Watford, especially with Marcus Rashford waiting in the wings.
