Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey’s sources have denied any interest from Manchester United so far despite reports suggesting otherwise.
The midfielder emerged as a target of Jose Mourinho’s ever since his contract negotiations fell through with the London club.
The Welshman’s current deal expires next summer and United apparently consider that too good a deal to pass up on.
It’s difficult to imagine just where Ramsey would fit in given he plays in the same position as the likes of Fred, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.
Nonetheless reports continue to grow in strength with the Red Devils already capitalising in the past in the form of Alexis Sanchez.
According to Teamtalk, sources close to Aaron said to Manchester Evening News: “There can’t be any interest in him at the moment because of the regulations.
“[That] Might be different at the end of the season. Who knows?”
There may be room for Ramsey at Manchester United should Mourinho be tempted to switch formations.
The Portuguese boss could move to a 4-4-2 diamond in a bid to squeeze in all his midfield options to maximise his side’s potential.
United have already made a slow start to the season and could benefit from a change in formations to get things going once again.
If reports are to be believed however then Jose might not even be the manager who ends up signing Aaron either way.
Rumours suggest the former Chelsea manager is on his way out of the club and could lose his job before Christmas.
