Manchester United star Eric Bailly is planning to depart the club next summer if his situation at the club doesn’t change.
The Ivorian has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window with the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham said to be interested.
Jose Mourinho was the one who invested in the defender in the first place but has seemingly lost faith in him.
Bailly was the player who was sacrificed during United’s superb comeback win against Newcastle before the international break.
Rio Ferdinand had claimed there was no way back for the former Villareal man into Mourinho’s plans.
According to Teamtalk, ESPN report that the Portuguese manager promised Eric first-team football so he won’t look for a move in January but will depart next summer if his minutes don’t improve.
The Red Devils won’t sell to a Premier League rival either way and there did seem to be some truth to Jose’s promise.
The former Chelsea boss played Bailly alongside Victor Lindelof at the start of the season but both failed to impress.
He was subsequently dropped and has failed to truly regain his place in the side since.
There’s still enough time for Eric to turn his season around and reignite his career at Old Trafford.
