So much was said about Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho’s confrontational face-off after Manchester United crashed out of the League Cup against Derby County.
Not so much will be said about Pogba and Mourinho’s exchange in Man United’s last training session before the trip to Juventus in the UEFA Champions League. Why you ask? Here’s a video of the exchange:

Of course, handshakes aren’t anywhere near as good for selling newspapers as a confrontation is when the narrative is that Pogba and Mourinho’s relationship is beyond repair. So, that’s why you’re unlikely to see it being discussed much.
All jokes aside, the portrayal of Pogba and Mourinho’s relationship feels skewed in the media. Right now, Pogba really is doing the business every week for United and that’s something both Mourinho and the fans have wanted to see for some time. Long may it continue.
Does a handshake mean Mourinho and Pogba are best mates? No, they never will be but as long as the performances and results are there then there’s no reason they can’t both still remain at United.
