Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing of young Amiens striker Noam Emeran, according to reports from France.
The 16-year-old, who plays on the left as well as through the middle, has impressed in the youth ranks this season.
Emeran recently noted that he based the style of his game on Manchester City and Germany winger Leroy Sane.
“I have no model player in the [Amiens] first-team, but I really like the style of Gael Kakuta. More generally, I admire Leroy Sane,” he said in a recent interview. “My ambition is to be able to be professionally one day and to win titles, but school remains the most important thing for now If there is no school, there is no football.”
According to French media outlet L’Equipe, Man United struck an agreement with the youngster several weeks ago ahead of finalising a deal over the coming months. Emeran is expected to remain at Amiens until the end of the season, however, in order to avoid disrupting his impressive development in France.
He will join fellow French youngster Aliou Traore – who arrived last season from Paris Saint Germain – in the club’s academy.
