Anthony Martial, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof fighting for selection

Manchester United stars Anthony Martial, Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof are all racing to be fit for the upcoming clash against Liverpool.

Jose Mourinho’s men are currently in sixth place with just 26 points while their rivals are enjoying a good season with 42 points already.

The gap can be closed on Sunday evening but with United struggling with consistency this campaign, many have tipped Liverpool to win all three points.

Martial has been one of Mourinho’s brightest stars this season and will be needed if there’s any hope of getting a crucial victory.

Smalling has been ever-present in defence while Lindelof was picking up some steam before he suffered his fairly recent injury.

According to the Daily Mail, Victor has made himself available for selection and has even travelled with the squad to the hotel while Chris is willing to take a painkiller injection to play through a hairline fracture foot injury.

Anthony has also shrugged off a groin injury in order to face off against the Red Devils’ fierce rivals having previously scored against them on his debut.

Jose is the type of manager to risk playing his stars even if they’ve just come back from injury so it’s possible all three will feature from the start.
