Manchester United legend Gary Neville has heaped praise on Marcus Rashford following his performance vs Newcastle on Wednesday night.
The youngster was tireless in his efforts and deservedly grabbed his side’s second in a 2-0 victory over the home side.
Initially it appeared as though Rashford was being isolated or even almost bullied by Newcastle’s two powerful centre-backs but he still grabbed a crucial goal nonetheless.
Set up by Alexis Sanchez, the academy product kept his cool to slot home to hand United all three points as they march onwards in their bid to secure a top four spot.
Neville believes the goal was a sign of greater things to come from Marcus who was at times accused to have not been developing as quickly as he should have.
G Neville: “Marcus has been accused of not being the best finisher, clinical in front of goal, but there was a real ice cold feeling about that and that’s a great sign. If he can start doing that week in week out, Manchester United have one of the top strikers.” #mufc [Sky] pic.twitter.com/l2Qga0xmxK

Gary’s praise will boost the Englishman’s confidence if the three goals in four games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn’t already.
Rashford’s meteoric rise at the start of his career with the Red Devils was down to how clinical he was and how important the goals he was scoring were.
It appeared as though he lost a bit of that edge afterwards but now it seems as though he’s found it once again.
