Manchester United have joined Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Roma winger Cengiz Under next summer, according to sources at ESPN.
The 21-year-old will not leave the Serie A club over January but his representatives are planning for a summer move elsewhere.
Under, who joined Roma last season, has impressed many with his direct, skillful style in possession since moving to Italy, making 23 appearances so far this term.
And according to ESPN‘s Eren Sarigul, Man United have joined other top teams in seeking to take advantage of Under’s situation at Roma.
The Turkish international is happy in Italy but, despite his importance to the team since 2017, remains one of the squad’s lowest paid players, earning around €1m per-season. Negotiations with club representatives have reached an impasse, paving the way for a potential move away from Serie A over the summer if the right offer comes along.
Roma are unwilling to consider any offers below the region of €50m, with 25 per cent of Under’s next transfer fee set to be paid to Istanbul Basaksehir, his former club.
