Manchester United’s global fanbase truly on show after win over PSG

Manchester United fans from all over the world celebrated wildly after their club’s historic win over PSG.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men lost 2-0 in the first-leg of the round of 16 tie of the Champions League and had it all to do in Paris.

Many believed the French champions were too good to be defeated, especially in their home stadium but United proved otherwise.

The 3-1 victory allowed Solskjaer’s men to advance to the quarter-finals of Europe’s biggest competition on the away goals rule.

Marcus Rashford was the man to score the penalty won in the dying embers of the game to spark wild celebrations from supporters worldwide.

The win against PSG saw Manchester United enter the history books as well, becoming the first team to overturn a 2-0 defeat at home in a two legged tie of the Champions League.

Much of that was owed to Romelu Lukaku who showed a fantastic poacher’s instinct to grab two goals to drag his side back into the contest.

Solskjaer himself also deserves credit for his tactical nous as he changed United’s formation a few times during the match to suit his needs.

The Red Devils played a 4-4-2, 3-5-2, 4-5-1 and 4-2-4 all in the same match in order to do all they can to defeat PSG.
