Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has had some worrying news to deliver ahead of the clash against Barcelona as he revealed as many as five players could be out for the fixture.
The Norwegian is set to embark on yet another test of his managerial credibility but this is perhaps the first real one since his appointment.
United’s form has dropped of late with the showdown with the Spanish side arguably coming at the worst time.
Solskjaer’s focus surely must be the Premier League as the race for the top four spots hasn’t let up.
The Red Devils are not far behind and will need to give everything they’ve got to climb the table but first the focus turns to the match against the La Liga giant.
Solskjaer says there is "hope" Matic can play against Barcelona. Says Herrera is "probably" out and "hopefully" Rashford will be ready but decision will be made tomorrow.

Ole: “First training session today with the team, he’s (Sanchez) done lots of recovery work. He is injury free. Train with the team, probably in the squad for West Ham on Saturday. He is not going to be able to join in tomorrow.” #mufc [MEN]

With Scott McTominay performing so well in his last match, Nemanja Matic wouldn’t be a huge loss but the lack of experience might prove to be.
Ander Herrera has been remarkable under Ole’s leadership and his energy would normally be needed against such possession hungry opposition.
Marcus Rashford‘s mobility and pace would be crucial given United are likely to play on the counter so hopefully he can start.
Alexis Sanchez is probably the least worrying of the bunch but perhaps playing him against his former side would’ve seen him step up a level.
