Manchester United squad given boost ahead of Barcelona clash

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been given a boost ahead of Manchester United’s clash vs Barcelona this Tuesday.

The two giants will face off in the second-leg of the quarter-finals of the Champions League with the Spanish side holding a slim 1-0 lead.

United are not the favourites for the fixture and so will need every small advantage they could get.

Players returning from injuries is definitely a welcome boost given the recent injuries Solskjaer has had to navigate through.

The Norwegian must be concerned following the dip in form and the truth is the match against Barcelona couldn’t have come at a worse time.

According to The Express, the Red Devils’ will be boosted by Nemanja Matic and Alexis Sanchez’s return from injury while Ashley Young will return having missed the weekend clash vs West Ham.

The trio aren’t exactly the most beloved of players to the fans but their return to full fitness is needed.

With the Manchester United players looking incredibly exhausted, rotation is crucial and rest is the order of the day.

Besides, if Sanchez does get minutes he may be keen on getting one over his former team.

Matic’s return is also timely given the difficult run in to the end of the season for United.
