Manchester United board make transfer promise to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer: report

by Marwan Harraz

Following Manchester United’s humiliating defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League, the board have reportedly made big promises to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Norwegian watched on helplessly as the Spanish side defeated his side 4-0 over the two legs of the Champions League quarter-finals.

United only had theirselves to blame with Luke Shaw unluckily netting a goal in the first leg before Ashley Young and David de Gea committed errors in the second leg.

The failure to net a goal over the 180 minutes is also cause for concern for Solskjaer who acknowledged the difference in class between the two sides.

A host of the club’s chiefs were present during the defeat and having watched the heavy loss, they’ve made some promises to the former Molde man.

According to The Express, Manchester Evening News report that following the Red Devils’ defeat to Barcelona, Ole was promised three new signings that could rise to four if Ander Herrera truly departs to PSG.

Three signings is arguably less than what most fans feel the club need but the truth is a massive exodus is highly unlikely even if the funds were available.

It makes far more sense to gradually turn the squad around and more importantly the board have to focus on making smart purchases, not just expensive ones.
