Ole Gunnar Solskjaer knows just what kind of players to sign: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly told executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward just what kind of players he would like to sign.

The club have still not appointed a director of football despite the season being close to ending and the summer transfer window fast approaching.

Woodward is believed to be in charge of signings until someone is hired and so the Norwegian manager has explained just what kind of player he wishes to bring in.

Solskjaer has admitted there is a lot of work to bring the squad up to standard but believes it can’t be done in a single summer.

Nonetheless, the former Molde man has been linked with signing just about every available player on the planet due to the media’s ignorance over what type of footballer he’s keen to sign.

According to the Express, the Evening Standard report that Ole is on board with Ed’s desire to sign young, long-term signings but believes the squad needs experienced players as well.

The Manchester United squad has long looked short of leaders in the dressing room with the likes of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young being made captain.

Had the likes of Rio Ferdinand, Nemanja Vidic or Patrice Evra still be around, there’s no doubt such a thing would ever happen.
