Jadon Sancho transfer ‘doubtful’ after Champions League failure: report

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will certainly be rueing what could of been after Jadon Sancho’s potential transfer has been reportedly ruled as doubtful.

The Englishman was said to be the club’s main summer target but the lack of top European football has seen them slip behind their competitors.

It’s believed Solskjaer has prioritised the right-wing spot alongside the centre-back, right-back and central-midfield positions.

Sancho represents the ideal signing as he’s young and his potential is endless but unfortunately completing the transfer appears to be too difficult.

Borussia Dortmund had already made it clear they’re unwilling to sell and so perhaps it’s time for Ole to look elsewhere.

According to the Daily Mail, Jadon was open to the idea of moving to Old Trafford but the Red Devils’ failure to qualify for the Champions League has made it all ‘doubtful’.

Solskjaer has spoken about the need to invest smartly and buy players who fit the philosophy or culture of the club.

The Norwegian has also stated how he isn’t necessarily searching for the big name signings and instead is more focussed on getting the right players in.

Manchester United will have to turn their attentions elsewhere but a right-winger is definitely needed given the lack of natural options in the current squad.
