Manchester United given hope in pursuit of Declan Rice

by Marwan Harraz

Manchester United have been given hope in their pursuit of West Ham star Declan Rice as they aim to improve on a squad that finished in sixth.

Despite what reports say, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken of the need to change his squad gradually and it’s believed he’s targeting young talent in the summer transfer window.

A midfielder, right-back, right-winger and centre-back have all been listed if the rumours are true and so it makes sense to take aim at Rice.

The youngster has had an outstanding season for West Ham, even being called up to the national team, with his form being so outstanding. he’s already being targeted by the top clubs in Europe.

United will have their work cut out for them to prize him away given their lack of Champions League football but perhaps higher wages will convince him to sign on the dotted line.

According to the Mirror, Manuel Pellegrini said: “It’s impossible, I cannot know the future. He is, of course, a player who has had a brilliant season, who is 20 years old and an English player who has a lot of qualities.

“Maybe some of the big teams, or all of them, will want him. But that is one thing – the other is whether he will stay here or he goes, and I cannot say at this moment.”

The good news is that Pellegrini hasn’t ruled out a transfer away and that’s on top of the comments he made earlier this season about every player having a price.

It seems as though West Ham are willing to sell but only if they make a decent profit which is expected.
