Manchester United fans have more bad news to deal with after their main target Jadon Sancho has all but confirmed his decision to stay at Borussia Dortmund.
The Englishman was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford but it appears that a transfer is no longer on the cards.
United are said to be targeting young, English players who have a tonne of potential and the winger certainly fits that mould.
Sancho would’ve been the perfect signing and likely would’ve been a guaranteed starter on the right-wing.
His versatility would’ve been of great use as well but unfortunately the Red Devils may have to wait for their dream signing.
According to the Evening Standard, Jadon said: “Next season our target is to win, not come second. I’m really happy with how I played this season.
“I wasn’t playing that much at the start of the season but was in the team more often later on. It’s all about hard work.”
It would make sense that Sancho would reconsider a move to Manchester United after their failure to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Dortmund have also just fallen short of the Bundesliga title having put in their best challenge in the past few years.
Jadon would definitely be more tempted to remain in Germany and potentially win trophies than to move to United who are as unstable as they’ve ever been in recent history.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will just have to turn his attentions elsewhere and potentially prove his project’s worth.
