Manchester United Luke Shaw has reportedly already sent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer a strong message despite the season just ending for his side.
The Englishman missed out on representing his country in the upcoming semi-final clash with the Netherlands for the Nations League.
Gareth Southgate opted to select other players instead despite the former Southampton man winning United’s player of the season award.
Shaw must be concerned over his future at both club and country given the rumours that have surfaced of late.
Solskjaer has been said to be keen on improving on his defensive options and though many believe that to mean the centre-back or right-back positions, it could also be the left-back.
According to the Daily Mail, Luke has been training at Carrington this week after Ole warned players who weren’t fit won’t join the Red Devils’ on their pre-season.
The youngster has previously been accused of being overweight with many of his past managers questioning his fitness.
Shaw reminds fans of Wayne Rooney who often would struggle with his weight if he didn’t get regular minutes or enjoyed his pre-season breaks a little too much.
Hopefully this is a sign that the defender is willing to take his career to the next level and put even more impressive performances next season.
