Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is reportedly set to commit his future to the club after previous uncertainty due to Barcelona’s interest.
The Spanish giants were said to be looking for an heir to Luis Suarez and targeted the youngster in the hopes of unsettling him.
It appeared to work due to how long it has taken the academy product to extend his current deal at Old Trafford but that no longer seems to be the case.
Rashford is largely considered to be United’s golden boy and if they failed to tie him down it would’ve sent an incredibly poor message to his teammates.
Many of their futures are already up in the air and if those in charge can’t even negotiate successfully with one of their own players, how could they do so with foreign stars who have no real ties to the club?
According to the Sun, the Times report that negotiations over a new contract have reached the final stages with some placing the figures of the new wages at £350k a week.
It is an incredible sum reported by the Sun and perhaps much of it has to do with how Alexis Sanchez’s wages have reportedly upset the club’s wage system.
