Ole Gunnar Solskjaer adamant on Manchester United’s want-away stars

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reiterated a desire to get rid of any Manchester United players he doesn’t want despite no stars leaving as of yet.

Ander Herrera and Antonio Valencia are the only departures of the summer and that was only due to their contracts expiring.

Many fans felt the likes of Ashley Young, Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo and Chris Smalling or Phil Jones would be moved on this summer.

However, the first two extended their contracts while the rest appear set to stay once more despite United’s reported interest in a top centre-back.

Solskjaer could certainly do with offloading some players in order to raise funds to invest in his questionable squad.

According to Sky Sports, Ole said: “There won’t be any players here that I don’t want in my group, no.”

The obvious question is just who does he not want at the club as there doesn’t appear to be any real candidates.

Young has been tipped to be named captain as one of the more senior players at Manchester United while Rojo has reportedly been told he has a future at Old Trafford.

The only surefire sale is probably just Matteo Darmian who has been practically begging to leave for a few seasons now.

Time will tell who Solskjaer is referring to but United fans probably won’t be holding their breaths.
