Manchester United target and Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes is reportedly flying in to England during the next few days.
The dazzling Portuguese international has been chased by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side all summer but it appears a conclusion is on the horizon.
Fernandes’ goalscoring ability was seen to be a real asset for the legendary Norwegian’s otherwise lacklustre midfield.
United have failed to see eye to eye with Lisbon so far but it seems there could be a breakthrough in negotiations soon.
Fernandes’ arrival would be particularly celebrated by fans after Nemanja Matic’s noticeably poor pre-season.
#mufc are aware of Sporting's wish to have Bruno Fernandes for their match against Benfica this evening. After that, United want it done as soon as possible. Player to fly to England on Monday, or Tuesday at the latest #mulive [a bola, @Sport_Witness]

Depth in Manchester United’s midfield is desperately needed and although Scott McTominay has been impressive all summer, at least one signing is still needed.
With less than a week left to the transfer window, the club risks having to overspend to secure targets as they appear to be more desperate.
Nonetheless, if Fernandes is brought in, fans have been curious whether he’ll be directly partnered with Paul Pogba or whether he’ll play as a number ten instead.
If he does play in Solskjaer’s engine room, it would mean one of them will have to play as a holding midfielder which doesn’t seem particularly solid.
