Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has provided a concerning injury update in regards to the knocks Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial picked up during the 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace.

The young Englishman had to be substituted off after feeling something in his hamstring that suggests he’ll be out for quite some time.

Martial meanwhile couldn’t be taken off the field as United had already made all three of their substitutions in an effort to win the fixture.

The sensational Frenchman has grabbed a goal against Chelsea and another against Wolves while notching up an assist against Palace to really prove his worth as a striker.

The Red Devils’ lack of depth in the squad is a huge cause for concern as they really can’t afford any players suffering any injuries.


Manchester United face Southampton next on next Saturday and the hope will be they will have a fully fit squad before the international break begins.

Solskjaer’s side can’t afford to drop more points and will be hoping they can grab a win before leaving for international duty.

United have started the season in typical inconsistent fashion despite the bright and convincing defeat of Chelsea in their opening fixture.
